Southern rock from southwest Finland
Diesel Band plays original southern rock out of southwest Finland. Together since 2009, the band draws on the likes of Blackberry Smoke, The Allman Brothers Band, James McMurtry and Chris Stapleton: guitars, Hammond, and a rhythm section built for the long haul. The songs live where that music always has — hard work, moonshine and the roads between towns nobody's heard of. They bring their own roots to a genre that understands roots. Boots in the ground, head in today.
Live, you get a band that means it. No smoke, no theatrics — just a group of rural Finnish guys playing American style roots music with the ease of people who grew up in the world it describes: backroads, tight communities, and a dry humor about all of it. An honest window into somewhere most audiences have never been, from a band that travels light and lets the songs do the talking.
